The secret to keeping your money resolutions this New Year

By David Wright

It’s that time of the year when (whether you admit to it or not), you think about what you did last year and what you would like to do differently this next year. Maybe you ignore these thoughts, but I’d be surprised if they aren’t there!

I hear people say they don’t make New Year’s resolutions and I reckon the reason is quite simple…. You can’t disappoint yourself for failing to achieve a resolution you don’t set!

However, ‘copping out’ like that is not going to do anyone any good and I reckon we should all call it for what it is. When someone tells you they don’t believe in setting New Year’s Resolutions challenge them and ask them why last year was so good they would not want to change one thing about it!

Before Christmas I wrote an article for the Money Magazine on the topic of how to keep your ‘money related’ resolutions this new year!

It was published today on the Money Magazine blog so go check it out and share it with anyone you know who has told you they have given up on setting New Years resolutions around their finances (or anything else for that matter).
